An early-Victorian Scottish silver snuff box,
maker's mark of AGW, Edinburgh 1840,
rectangular form, engine turned cover and base, with a foliate thumb-piece and vacant cartouche, the interior with a presentation plaque inscribed 'Wm Shearer', length 8.2cm, approx. weight 5oz.
