Description

A George IV silver seven-bar toast rack, by William Stroud, London 1822, raised rectangular form, wire-work bars, central scroll carrying handle, engraved with a crest and coronet, length 14.8cm, approx. weight 10oz. ** The crest and coronet are those of Viscount Chetwynd, for Richard, (1800-1879) 6th Viscount Chetwynd who married Mary Moss, daughter of the Bishop of Oxford on the 30 August 1822.
