Description

A George II silver spouted tankard, by Thomas Cooke and Richard Guerney, London 1736, the spout with Victorian addition marks for London 1860, baluster form, later embossed foliate scroll decoration, domed hinged cover, Bacchus mask spout, inscribed, 'The Gift of S. T Kekewich Esq. M.P and Sir L. Palk, Bart, M.P presented by the South Devon Agricultural Society to Mr Henry Ford of Halltorrs for the best cultivated farm above 150 acres. 1860,' on a circular foot, height 17.5cm, approx. weight 23oz.
