Description
A Bowie knife, by J. E. Middleton & Sons, Sheffield, the 8.75in clipped back blade, engraved and inscribed 'THE UNITED STATES the land of the free and the HOME OF THE BRAVE, PROTECTED BY HER NOBLE AND BRAVE VOLUNTEERS' and 'AMERICANS ask for nothing but what is RIGHT, and suspect to nothing that is WRONG', the reverse stamped 'HAND FORGED', to an antler handle and horse's head nickel terminal, leather scabbard, together with a sword stick with a bun handle and metal bands.
