A Derby actor figure of James Quinn as Falstaff, holding his shield and sword and wearing an elaborately plumed hat, a bill of fare issuing from the pocket of his doublet, raised on a circular flower encrusted base, c.1770, the sword hilt a replacement, a little good restoration to his hat brim, 25cm.
