A George III silver canteen of Fiddle and Thread pattern flatware for thirty-six, the majority by Eley, Fern and Chawner, London 1810/11, some pieces 1817 by William Chawner, the terminals crested, comprising: forty-eight table forks, thirty six dessert forks, (twelve by William Chawner, London 1817), thirty-one teaspoons, two sizes, (four by Solomon Hougham, London 1813, four by William Chawner, London 1816), eight dessert knives, by Moses Brent, London 1809, thirty-six dessert spoons, six jam spoons, (by Eley and Fearn, London 1817), twenty four tablespoons, (one 1831, different crest), a pair of sauce ladles, two pairs of sugar tongs, and a salad spoon, (London 1815), in a fitted wooden case, approx. weight 467oz. The crest is recorded in Dublin for Foster, baronets of Tullaghan, Co Monaghan.
