A rare Chinese gilt bronze seated figure of Guandi, holding his beard in his right hand, seated on a wooden throne, 17th century, 17.5cm. (2) Guandi, the God of War, was based on the famous historical 3rd century military commander Guan Yu. He personifies Honour,Loyalty, Integrity, Justice ,Courage and Strength.
