A George III silver ewer, maker's mark partially worn, London 1792, shaped rectangular baluster form, part fluted decoration, scroll handle, hinged cover with a ball finial, on a raised shaped square foot with bright-cut decoration, engraved with an armorial, height 32cm, approx. weight 24oz. The shield and crest is that of Boyd of Co. Durham.
