Description

A Chinese white jade sword guard, 18th / 19th century. Finely carved with a taotie mask to one end, and with many raised scroll motifs, 11.7cm, together with a wood stand (2) Provenance: formerly in the collection of Sidney Lines, of Wiggins Teape, Hong Kong, acquired in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
