An early George III needlework sampler by Sarah Soame, 1770, worked with an alphabet, numbers and a verse above a house flanked trees, urns, deer and birds, the centre inscribed 'June 17th 1770, Sarah Soame', 10.25 x 10in (26 x 25cm), in a later ebonised and glazed frame. Some holes, faded.
