A Victorian walnut writing table, with a replaced inset leather top above an applied scrolled edge frieze, with turned finials on well carved open trestle end supports, united by a spiral twist stretcher, to brass castors, the underside with remains of a printed label for 'J. Kendell & Co.' and hand written maker's name, 29.25in (74cm) h, 49in (124.5cm) w, 25in (63.5cm) d.
J. Kendell & Co, Leeds, Yorkshire were important cabinet makers who were taken over in 1863 by Marsh & Jones.
