An early 18th century silver bodkin / needle case,
unmarked, circa 1740,
tapering panelled form, engraved with alternate panels of scroll s and trellis decoration, the screw off cover with a reel for cotton, the screw-off globular base possibly for wax, length 8.5cm, approx. weight 1oz.
