Description

A George III silver ewer, maker's mark partially worn, London 1792, shaped rectangular baluster form, part fluted decoration, scroll handle, hinged cover with a ball finial, on a raised shaped square foot with bright-cut decoration, engraved with an armorial, height 32cm, approx. weight 24oz. The shield and crest is that of Boyd of Co. Durham. Sold on behalf of the Executors of The Hon. Mary Anna Marten Dec'd, of Critchel House, Dorset.
