A Victorian silver regimental presentation claret jug,
by E.C Brown, London 1874,
modelled as a drinking horn, with a dragon scroll handle, the hinged cover with a dragon finial and with a dragon lip, the horn terminates in a ram's head motif, on the claw and bun feet, inscribed, 'Western Indian Rifle Meeting 1878, Deccan Cup, won by The 'Queens' Team Major Waring, Lt. and AdJ. Collins, Sergeant Harrison, Corporal Seymour, Private Turner and Private Wardle,', on an oval ebonised plinth, height off plinth 31.5cm, approx. weight 40oz.
