Description
A matched pair of George III / George IV silver wine coasters,
one by Benjamin Smith II and James Smith III, London 1810, the other by James Edington, London 1829,
circular form, pierced and chased with trailing grapevines and bunches of grapes, with an egg and dart border, silver bases engraved with an armorial, on wooden bases, diameter 13.2cm, height 7.9cm and 7.4cm.
The arms are those of Crofts of Suffolk impaling another, possibly Banaster.
