An early Victorian rosewood and brass bound writing slope, the hinged lid inset a brass plaque inscribed 'G. Cooper', the interior with a gilt tooled leather writing surface, two lidded compartments, brass topped inkwells and a pen tray, above three secret drawers and a lift-out tray pierced two handgrips, the lock stamped 'SECURE BRAMAH', the sides with sunken brass carrying handles, 7in (17.7cm) h, 21in (53cm) w, 11in (27.7cm) d.
