A mahogany open bookcase by J.H. & G. Elliott, Sherborne, Dorset, with carved blind fret decoration, adjustable shelves with central division and flanked by acanthus capped fluted columns, on carved acanthus and claw and ball feet, 78.25in (199cm) h, 83in (211cm) w, 13.75in (35cm) d.
Provenance: Private collection, commissioned for the "Smoking" Room at Stowell Hill House, Templecombe following construction of the new wing in 1929.
