Description
A Chinese armorial octagonal soup plate c.1755, decorated with the arms of Bayly impaling Wilkinson, the rim brightly enamelled with birds perched on foliate scrolls between floral sprays, a small rim chip, 23cm.
Provenance: the Phil Cooke collection. The Clifford Henderson collection. Purchased from Heirloom and Howard in 1978.
