A rare George IV Scottish provincial mounted cowrie shell, with bright cutting, crest, initials and the inscription "To Robert Fife, Blairingon, from his son William - 1828", maker's mark only struck thrice, probably by John Austin, Dundee, c.1828, 3.25in (8.1cm).
