After Pierre Jules Mene (1810 - 1879). Mare and Dog. Cast iron with bronze finish, probably by Coalbrookdale, 9.5in (24cm) h, 19in (48cm) w. This model was exhibited in bronze in the Salon of 1859. No.34 in Mene's catalogue. Coalbrookdale produced many copies of Mene's work in both bronze and iron.
