Description
A James I/Charles I unascribed Wessex area seal top spoon, with an extended and ribbed terminal, pricked '1608' over 'W L' over 'F', struck once in the bowl with a cinquefoil and thrice on the back of the bowl, with an indistinct makers mark, tentatively ascribed to Southampton, 1610-1630, 6in (15.3cm) long overall, 1.5oz.
