Description

An early 19th century French silver-gilt dessert service for six, Paris 1798-1809, two makers, comprising dessert forks, spoons and knives, decorated with a bunch of grapes and stylised decoration on a matted background, the reverse of the terminal with an armorial, in a later fitted case, approx. weighable 28oz. (18) The arms are those of Francis Edgerton (1756-1819) who succeeded his brother to become 8th Earl of Bridgewater.
