A George III Irish silver-gilt presentation snuff box,
by James Scott, Dublin 1828,
rectangular form, the sides with chased foliate scroll decoration, the hinged cover with a foliate scroll border and inscribed, 'Major Tyler and the Officers, 97th Reserve Companies to Lieut. Col Pattison, December 24th 1829', length 7.8cm, approx. weight 5.5oz.
