Description

An early 19th century mahogany apothecary's chest, the hinged lid and front revealing fifteen jars with stoppers, some with content labels, Antimonial Wine, Ether, Paregoric Elixir and also bearing labels for 'E.PEAT (from Savory, Moore & Co), Chemist & Druggist, LYMINGTON', with Gothic arch apertures, to six drawers with turned bone handles, with brass scales and a glass pestle and mortar, measure and two pots, with a brass carrying handle, 9in (22.7cm) h, 8in (20.1cm) w, 8in (20cm) d.
