Description
An unusual Yixing octagonal teapot and cover 1st half 18th century, modelled with eight reticulated bamboo poles, pierced with a bamboo design, the handle broken off and well restored, 15cm. (2) Provenance: the Arthur J Harris collection. Cf. K S Lo, The Art of the Yixing Potter, p.145 and Patrice Valfré, Yixing Teapots for Europe, no.268 for a similar example.
