Description

A rare Yixing phoenix teapot early 18th century, the bird's plumage finely incised with its tail forming the handle, the head turned back over the body, the cover lacking, some restoration, 16cm. Provenance: from the private collection of Jos and Carla Ott. Cf. Patrice Valfré, Yixing Teapots for Europe, no.226 for a similar example.
