Description
A rare Chinese cloisonné revolving vase 19th century, the bulbous central section with four gilded open-work panels, each with a five-clawed dragon facing forwards amidst cloud scrolls, set against a black ground decorated with a formal stylized lotus scroll. The neck and base sections separately cast, and decorated with champlevé and cloisonné designs of stylized flowers and lappets, the internal cylinder, which can be viewed through the reticulated panels, is decorated with a lotus on a white ground, the base unmarked, 34cm.
