Description
A rare Chinese café au lait and underglaze blue dragon bowl Kangxi six character mark and of the period 1662-1722, the exterior painted with two scaly five-clawed dragons, each reaching towards flaming pearls of wisdom amidst flame motifs on a lustrous brown ground, the rim delicately flared, the interior white, 20.6cm.
Provenance: Mrs W Sykes, collected between 1931 and 1939, paper label for the Winkworth Collection.
