France, Science and Singing, silver medals (2) Socit de Sciences Industrielles de Paris, by A. Bovy, awarded 1853, Science seated with emblems of the arts, rev., engraved inscription, "A. M. Wolfsohn Pour Son Diapason", 50mm, a very early award given in the same year as the establishment of the Society; City of Lille, Singing Prize, by J. Esparon, awarded 1891, City arms, rev., engraved inscription, "Aux Chanteeurs de la Jeune Garde - Valencienne", 60mm, suspension loop and ring. Both very fine, the latter toned. (2)
