A 17th century German tankard, with embossed ribbons and floral motifs around the cover and foot, the cylindrical body with a repouss-work scene depicting birds, animals and fruit-laden putti and figures in a sparsely wooded landscape, the large cast double scroll handle with a volute thumbpiece traces of parcel gilding and lacking finial, maker's mark "PR" in two conjoined circles, Danzig, 8.1in (20.5cm) high, 33oz.
