Description
Stephen (1135-1154), silver Penny, "Watford type", Lincoln mint, moneyer Ailred, crowned bust right holding sceptre before, STIEF[NE R], rev., cross moline with a fleur in each angle, +IRODI [--] ON L…., (North 873; S 1278). The coin has been split in two and neatly soldered together, the repair seemingly contemporary, good fine, toned.
