Description
A dated Donyatt slipware puzzle jug, incised with the verse 'Coom Fell me up with leker swet for it is good when friends do meet. Merry met an merry part i wish you well with all my hart' above the initials 'J + M' and the inscription 'August 14 1826', covered in a rich yellow and green speckled glaze, further incised decoration of a tulip and a bird, the spout reglued, 20.5cm high.
