Description
A dated Donyatt slipware puzzle jug, incised with large tulips around the verse 'Come Fill me up with Liquor sweet for it is good when friend do mett, merry meet and merry part. I wish you well with all my heart' above the inscription 'F + Pope August 14 1829' the whole decorated in a rich ochre glaze with splashes of green, a few small glaze losses, 20.5cm.
