Description

A Staffordshire portrait figure of George Washington 2nd half 19th century, holding his tricorn hat in his left hand, a parchment in his right, raised on a titled base, 38.5cm. This figure was more commonly made as a portrait of Benjamin Franklin, but frequently titled 'Washington', despite the lack of likeness.
