A pair of Meissen two-handled vases late 19th century, painted with panels of Venus and Cupid and other Classical gods within gilt foliate and ribboned borders on a cobalt blue ground, the feet within oak leaf wreaths on square bases, the handles formed from entwined snakes, blue crossed swords marks, the covers lacking, 21.8cm.
