A massive and elaborate Chinese ivory carving of the 'clam's dream' c.1900, the bivalve stands on one end and opens to reveal a mountain landscape with figures on horseback, drinking tea and punting, on rocky terraces behind pine, willow and prunus upon which small birds perch, all raised on a similarly carved base, minor damages, 33cm.
