A Chinese pale celadon jade carving of a stylized cicada Han dynasty or later, the surface with simple incised linear details, 7.1cm. Provenance: purchased in Hong Kong in the 1980s. Cf. Illustrated Catalogue of Ancient Jade Artifacts in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, Taiwan, 1982, for similar examples.
