John (Augustus): Autograph letter, signed, addressed "My dear Bahr", Fryern Court, Fordingbridge, dated Jan.11 1953, discussing his forthcoming book of drawings - "I have to add some half-dozen new ones to bring it up to date & it must be ready this Spring", his "burst out into sculpture with some hopeful results", and his health, in a slightly wobbly hand, 2pp; and another similar also to Bahr, dated Ap.6 1963 - "At present I am immersed in clay about half-a-dozen busts are in process. I find this work a most stimulating change", 2pp; both with paper clip mark, one with minor browning at crease (2)
