A late 17th century Norwegian burr birch peg tankard, allover carved with scrolling flower tendrils, the hinged lid with a laurel edge to an 'S' scroll handle carved a flower with a square terminal decorated a man praying, on three ribbed ball feet, 7.75in (19.5cm) h, 7in (17.8cm) w, 8.75in (22cm) d.
