A French trumeau, with a painted scene of a French officer near a lake accompanied by two dogs and various trophies strewn on the ground in front of a Masonic monument, above a rectangular plate to a moulded composition frame, c. 1900, indistinctly inscribed in chalk to the verso, 52.5 x 27in (133.5 x 68.5cm).
