H.M.S. Britannia, a silver medal, 1906, for her launching, by the Welham Mfg. Co., Britannia, rev. starboard ship portrait, 27mm, in turned lignum case with glass inset in lid. Extremely fine and rare.
H.M.S. Britannia was an Edward VII class battleship. She was sunk by a German torpedo on 9 November 1918, just two days before the end of the war, with the loss of 50 men - the last Royal Navy ship to be sunk in the war.
