An Adams & Co Parian bust of Richard Cobden c.1865, raised on a socle base, various impressed marks to the reverse, 42cm.
Cobden was a popular Liberal politician, known for his work in the Anti-Corn Law League and on the abolition of slavery. Although well-known in Manchester, Cobden was brought up on the Sussex-Hampshire border.
