China 1900, War Medal, bronze issue, without clasps (Sajee Ghanai 16th Bl. Lcrs); Volunteer Force Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, VICTORIA REGINA, engraved in caps. (4371 Pte. H. Lattey. 1/ London. V.R.C.). Both very fine. (2) The 16th Bengal Lancers had been re-raised in 1885 at Ambala, from the 16th Bengal Cavalry. During the Boxer Rebellion they were responsible for the relief of the American Legation, and were presented with the flag which had flown over the building.
