Description
A George III silver vegetable tureen and cover,
by Richard Cooke, London 1806,
circular form, with drop-hinged handles, gadroon border, the domed pull-off cover with fluted and ball decoration engraved with two armorials and two crests, and with a detachable foliate handle, (the handle by Robert Garrard), diameter of base 23.3cm, approx. weight 68oz.
The arms are those of Sir Oswald Moseley, (1785-1871), 2nd Baronet Ancoats, Lancashire.
