Description

An early 20th Century frosted crystal pendant applied with a regimental badge for The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. And millegrain set overall with graduated diamonds. The quatrefoil section of rock crystal has foliate engraved sides, is mounted in white gold and suspends from a diamond set bale on a fine link platinum chain with diamond set spherical slide (some diamonds missing). 70cm long. The pendant 3.8cm high. This Light Infantry Regiment was famed for being present at most of the major battles of the Peninsular Campaign and in particular had the largest British battalion at Waterloo where they formed part of the final charge against Napoleon's Imperial Guard.
