Description
A fine Chinese pale celadon jade moonflask Qianlong 1736-95, each side finely carved in relief with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, the handles as small ruyi sceptres, the rim and foot with key fret bands, raised on an elaborate ivory stand carved with fruiting, leafy pomegranate branches, one handle damaged, the cover lacking, 16.5cm overall. (2) Provenance: Sir Ernest Joseph Cassel (1852-1921). Lady Delamere.
