A 19th century Russian provincial silver snuff box,
Moscow,
rectangular form, the cover with a river scene, with traces of niello work decoration, the interior with an armorial, length 9.4cm, approx. weight 3.5oz.
The arms are those of Bell originally of Provosthaugh, Dumfries impaling Ross of Kinfauns, Scotland.
