A 19th century Australian silver military trophy cup and cover,
by H. Steiner, Adelaide circa 1882,
circular bowl, engraved decoration, gilded bowl, the pull-off cover with a finial modelled as a standing soldier, on a raised stem and circular foot, inscribed, ' R.V.F presented by Doctor James to Y.P No. 1 Company January 1882' and 'Won by Private D Bews, March 5th and 19th, 1882', height 29cm, approx. weight 10oz.
