A rare Martin Brothers miniature stoneware scent bottle and stopper incised with aster flowers, and a pendant brooch by Edwin Martin made for Alice Clarke incised with a Martin bird scent bottle incised Martin London, pendant incised EBM dated 21.9.1906 scent bottle 4cm. high Provenance Sotheby's 4th April 1974 lot 479 for the pendant Malcolm Haslam The Martin Brothers Potters Richard Dennis Publications, these two items illustrated page 155 figure 250. Alice Clarke was the Martin brothers only sister and these objects were produced as a personal gift.
