After Pierre Jules Mêne (1810-1879). Vainqueur de Derby, bronze with cold painted highlights, the naturalistic base signed 'P.J. MENE 1866', titled 'VAINQUEUER', and stamped 'FBL' for Fonderie de Bronze Lauragaise, 13¾in (34.5cm) high, 16½in (42cm) wide, 8¼in (20.9cm) deep.
